What a delightful outpouring of sympathies was
wrought by our article last month regarding spam. Thanks to some
of your suggestions, we trimmed our spam intake from a high of
2,300+ a day to under 200. And we're still working on it. The less
time we need to spend dealing with that scourge, the more time we
have to spend on our dear customers. Thank you all for your help.

"Factoids"
We mentioned Romania a couple of issues ago (Vol 3, No 6), but
didn't touch on the region of Transylvania. This region is part of
modern day Romania, but has many roots in Hungarian history as
well as other surrounding cultures.
The name Transylvania roughly means "beyond the forest", and if
you're interested in the origins of names, we found a
very
comprehensive site for you.
We even found an
interesting site with some history of the name Dracula ("Son
of the Dragon"). What a world!
